Short fiction and e-single publishers

Journalist Laura Hazard Owen has described e-singles as the ‘format for our time’. In April this year, Thin Reads launched as a guide to e-book singles. Howard Polskin, CEO and Editor in Chief said that, ‘The goal of Thin Reads is to connect consumers with the abundant, high-quality stories available in the e-book single marketplace. This emerging content form will create a new golden age of long-form journalism and short story writing.’

Thin Reads defines an e-book single as a work of non-fiction or fiction generally between 5,000 and 25,000 words.

  1. So glad you mentioned my publisher, Pixel Hall Press, who took a chance on me and my two stories, ANNABELLE and ALICE IN WONDERLAND, and inspired me to create "Celebrate Short Fiction" Day! Hooray for short fiction writers and kudos to e-single publishers!
